10% Back at Walmart TODAY ONLY plus $10 Bonus Rewards

Details!

In the interest of getting this out to you as soon as possible, I won’t ramble on about how to maximize this deal. It’s a don’t-think-just-shop kind of deal.

  1. Sign up for Ebates. Get bonuses if you’re new and please use my referral link because I’m one new shopper away from a $50 bonus!
  2. Get an unprecedented 10% back on almost everything. Here’s the fine print:

Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on Apple Watch, newest model iPhones, Walmart Grocery to Go, cellular purchases, prepaid phone cards (Straight Talk), prescription drugs, travel, financial services, tires, Walmart Connect Internet Service, gift card/online gift cards and ShippingPass subscription.

Special Terms: Cash Back is not available on orders deemed by Walmart to be for reselling purposes.

  3. Combine this offer with the weekly SYWEVERYWHERE.com promotion by purchasing a $30 (final value, not original value) Walmart gift card at Raise.com. Check here for the weekly running offer and here for more details on how to redeem it (forgive me for using an old link; the concept is identical.)

Tally It Up

Let’s assume we purchase a Walmart gift card at Raise:

We’ll receive a $10 Shop Your Way bonus points reward in the next couple weeks. We’ll go spend the $38.31 at Walmart.com which is super, because that qualifies for free shipping. We’ll get 10% back, or $3.80. That makes this deal $38.31 – 3.80 – .08 (you’ve gotta be kidding me) – $10 = $24.43, or about 35% off after points.

Will you use this deal?

I like this because it is easy to get the 10% off on items you were probably going to buy anyway. What will you buy? Please leave your comments and questions or reach me directly, christine@unveiledsavings.com, for quick support. Good luck!

Final comments…

Take care at your shopping portal of choice to ensure the vendor doesn’t deny rewards with the payment of gift cards or external coupons. Many will claim this, few will actually impose it. Your choice, but I would continue without concern.

Please also note that some users have reported a conflict in receiving this bonus PLUS whatever normal payout percentage is advertised (in particular, the 10% back from Raise.) Your feedback is helpful in pinning down how the rules actually apply! Thanks!

12 Weeks of The Economist for Free!

12 Free Weeks of The Economist

This is as simple as it gets – head on over to TopCashBack.com to find this one. I’ll click through in a couple hours (yes, it’s 3:37AM local time) to make sure I don’t mess it up. I don’t see any complicated terms and conditions, but you’ll want to set a reminder to cancel if this isn’t the type of thing you’d like to pay for. I’m excited; I’ve heard great things about their material.

If you happen to be a new TopCashBack customer, I would really appreciate your help with this by signing up through my referral link – I’m pending a $50 bonus with just one more referral. You get The Economist and I get a nice tip; even if you wouldn’t normally bother with this, it would make a difference to me! Or, hey, you could always send it over to your Dad’s house. Dads like this kind of stuff.

Thanks in advance!

I need a new washer/dryer!

I’ve selected the washer/dryer pair listed in my catalog based on a target $800 budget and Consumer Reports recommendations. While there were other washers or dryers that scored as well or better, I tried to choose a matching pair that offered high scores for each appliance. As always, I greatly appreciate anyone that selects me as their Personal Shopper; it takes only a minute of your time and I earn commissions for life when you shop at any of the Sears brands. Thank you!

The regular price on each appliance is $897.99. They are currently on sale for $500 each! That’s a whopping 45% off without any work. Because of their special pricing, I haven’t been able to get any coupons to work over the last few days – consider it a blessing in disguise: you’re not missing anything.

You may choose to purchase with a credit card that offers extended warranties or price match protection; that is your decision to make. If you’re just looking for the best price, follow the tried-and-true steps below. Note that there are usually bonuses through syweverywhere and better payouts at many of the portals, but the sale price on these appliances may not last longer. Your gamble!

  1. Buy a discounted Sears (or Kmart) gift card. Navigate to cashbackmonitor.com and search for Raise. I don’t see any major payouts right now, so choose what you like or go to syweverywhere.com and search for Raise to get 3% back. At Raise, select a $1000 value Sears gift card for 6-7% off. Quick way to save over $50, right? You will earn 3% on the ~$950 gift card, or around $30. It can take a couple days to post, but you’ll earn more on that washer/dryer. Later, you can redeem those for an accessory or, if nothing else, consumables at Kmart.
    1. Should you opt for one of the other cash back portals, I kindly ask that you use my referral link so we both get a $~10 bonus!
    2. New to Raise? Join with my link to get a free $5 discount.
  2. Navigate to Sears.com through the portal of your choice. Just as with the link above, pick a portal with a payout you like. British Airways is offering a whopping 12pts/dollar; while availability can be limited, you can book American Airlines one way flights with miles for 12,500 pts, so this one purchase is about enough for that award. Else, you can use miles for (expensive) hotel bookings – I’ve done it, but it isn’t a great value. However, at this payout maybe it is worth considering.
  3. Add the appliances to your cart and check out with your gift card. You’re just shopping as normal at this point!

For a quick tally…

  • Original Price: $900
  • Sale Price: $500
  • Gift Card Discount: 6% ($60 total)
  • Gift Card Portal Award: 3% ($28 total)
  • Gift Card Redemption Portal Award: 12 pts/dollar or 2% – either 12,000 pts or $20. I know what I’d choose!

Final savings: $1800 – $400 – $400 – $60 – $28 = $912 plus a one way flight or $20 with potentially a $5 Raise bonus and/or $10 from BeFrugal.

Please contact me with your questions. I use this formula over and over and over again on nearly every purchase I make – check in weekly for updated promotions and bonuses!

Last Day for SYWEverywhere Deal

This deal ends on 4/2. Combine promotions to save across the internet – note that the ebates 14% deal expires in just a few hours.

Step 1: Go to SYWEVERYWHERE.com and be sure you’re logged in (while you’re there, do me the favor of selecting me as your Personal Shopper – it helps keep the lights on here at Unveiled Savings and there are bonus coupons in it for you, too!) This makes you eligible for the following offer:

Step 2: Search for RAISE.com where you’ll buy a discounted gift card for the store of your choice. In this case, I’m going to stock up on dog food (although there is a super opportunity to make a profit with the steps I’m outlining here by reselling on eBay or Amazon or Craigslist.)

Step 3: Visit ebates.com (not a member? Please use my link – we’ll both get bonuses!) and find the 14% bonus at petco.com

Step 4: Check out using your e-gift card, purchased from Raise.com in an earlier step.

To tally up your savings, let’s assume $100 worth of gift cards were purchase in Step 2.

  • Step 2: Discounted gift card savings: 6%, or $6. Pay $94 for $100 gift card.
  • Step 1: Receive Shop Your Way credit – 15% bonus and 8% standard, or 23% of $94 – to the amount of $21.62.
  • Step 3: Receive 14% back in ebates cash credit on the $100 purchase, to the amount of $14.

Final result: for $100 worth of merchandise, you can earn a $14 ebates credit, save $6 on the purchase, and earn $21.62 in SYWR credit. That’s $100-14-6-21.62 = $58.38, roughly 40% off. Remember that SYWR credit can be used for household consumables at Kmart and Kmart.com.

This deal gets better with steeply discounted Raise cards. Sorted by highest discount, take a look here at how this promotion really adds up.

Final comments…

Take care at ebates to ensure the vendor doesn’t deny rewards with the payment of gift cards. Many will claim this, few will actually impose it. Your choice, but I would continue without concern.

Remember the SYW promotion is limited to a $50 bonus, so you’re good on up to ~$350 value gift cards at Raise.com before that tops out.

Feel confident using whatever coupons you have. Ebates will say that external coupons will invalidate the returns, but I’ve never seen it happen. There’s always a chance, but this promotion gets better when you stack other savings. Sears has a bunch of wild points back offers going on through this evening, so consider those!

Part II: Day Four – Complete Shop Your Way Platinum Requirements

This guide is part of the series, Max Performing: The $20,000 Kitchen Upgrade. Start here.

A significant part of this plan hinges on the ability to achieve Shop Your Way Platinum status. This is for one major reason, and one major reason only:

Uh, yup! See it? “Birthday Month.” The stars have aligned and the kitchen-upgrader happens to have a birthday in May. I’ve called Shop Your Way VIP and confirmed that the appliances qualify for 15% back. Remember the part where those appliances cost $13,000 on sale? 15% of $13,000 = $1,950.

See where this is going?

The ‘cost’ of VIP Platinum is $2,000 over the course of 30 purchases. Well, if the kitchen appliances trigger $1,950 back in points and Platinum is a $2,000 investment…it sure seems to me that spending $2,000 to get Platinum means getting $1,950 back in points, and that looks like a free $1,950 to me.

The washer and dryer already amounted to around $1,800 worth in merchandise. Our kitchen-upgrader now needs to spend around $200 on whatever they want to reach the $2,000 threshold and must complete an additional 28 purchases. Here are a few options:

  • Buy something for roughly $200 that you want or need. To get the additional 27 purchases, go to Kmart and complete 27 purchases of a single pack of Kool-Aid mix ($0.29 each.) Alternatively, you can do this from the comfort of your own home by selecting the in store pick up option. They’ll probably think you’re crazy, but genius comes in many forms. 😉
  • Stick with the Kool-Aid plan, plus get items that will generate lots of points back – this essentially reduces your out of pocket cost going forward for those appliances or whatever else you might be buying. This link has a bunch of offers and you’ll follow the Day Two steps to complete those orders.
  • Buy something for roughly $200 that you don’t want or need. Sell it on eBay or Craigslist. Put cash in pocket.
  • Run one grocery shopping trip at Kmart (or complete the purchases online.) We’re talking one can of green beans per order, maybe some NutriGrain bars, your favorite deodorant…just hit the ~$200 threshold and complete 27 orders.

What would you do? Any other ideas for achieving VIP Platinum status? Share them in the comments!

How about an $8 ottoman?

If you’re wondering why things are kinda quiet over here, it’s because I post deals a few times a week via my Unveiled Savings Facebook group. It’s a bit quicker to access and respond to questions, and I have continual contact with members on my mobile device.

In case you aren’t a client and member of the group, I thought I’d share this bargain to give you a glimpse into what you’re missing! Just select me as your Personal Shopper to be invited to the group right away. Remember that the service is 100% complimentary and includes all the custom bargain hunts you need. It’d be my pleasure!

Head over to Kmart for this deal. Don’t forget to shop through a portal to make it even better. If you haven’t used the $15 back on $30 bonus, that would make this A FREE OTTOMAN if you purchase and redeem a Kmart gift card!

Don’t miss deals like this – become a client today!

Spend $30, Donate Three Pairs of Shoes, Receive $55 in Sears Credit YMMV

It’s a great time of year to be thinking about other people. In this promotion, it’s definitely a win-win: you can donate three pairs of shoes and earn all of your money in store credit (less tax) back PLUS a $25 bonus in Shop Your Way Rewards. Truth be told, I can’t figure out how they get to $55 (the original post said $40 and that made sense) but no complaints here!

The two items that I’m positive are participating are the Batman and Spiderman shoes.

You’ll notice where it says in yellow “Special Offers…” click the drop down to confirm 100% Back in Points plus a $10 bonus when you spend $30.

Simply add three pairs of shoes and you will earn $40 back in points. See how mine says I’ll earn around $10 back in points? That’s because I have already purchased my $30 worth (it’s a once per member deal.) Yours should show $40! (Edit: I don’t know why it is $55, but yahoo!)

Your points are valid 12/12-12/18 only. Don’t forget to use them! If you don’t have a Sears or Kmart nearby, consider stocking up on paper towels, garbage bags, or other consumables and having them delivered right to your door; shipping is free on $30 purchases. Perfect, right?

If you don’t have time to pick up and donate or don’t have a Sears/Kmart nearby, you can choose “Pick Up In Store” and use Fort Walton Beach, FL (zip code 32548). Use “Unveiled Savings” as the name of the person picking up your order and email me when it’s ready. It would be my privilege to help you participate in this deal.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Make the Deal Better for You

Choose a shopping portal (a what?) to get a little bonus when you shop.

Make the Deal Better for Me…and You, Too!

If you like this kind of promotion, considering adding me as your personal shopper, which is a one-time, 60-second activity. I’ll be able to send you a bonus coupon for $5 off $25, which should work with this promotion.

Yes, Sears pays me a commission, which helps cover the expenses of the site.

Wondering if this deal is really about the shoes? The most Sears will pay me is $0.90. You decide.

Craftsman Tools, Better-Than-Free After Points!

I love these deals!

I’ve added all of the items that are free after points to this catalog (please consider adding me as your personal shopper – I’ll earn a 2% commission on your purchase from Sears, which is such a nice way for you to give me a thumbs up on this deal.)

Here’s how it adds up:

Total Price: ~$450

SYWR Points Earned: ~$480

Coupons Applied: $20 off $150 and $20 in surprise points

You can make the deal better by starting at cashbackmonitor.com and picking a portal to shop through. I was unable to redeem gift cards on this purchase without severely reducing the cash back…this doesn’t make any sense and 45 minutes on the phone with customer service didn’t get me anywhere. I shopped through British Airways as we are in the midst of planning a spring vacation and paid with my Discover card to earn 5% back with the category bonus (don’t forget to activate this perk!) You should be able to count this as an additional $25 in savings.

What am I going to do with the points I received?

I’m going to buy the main body of this tool, which is currently on sale for $80. I might order some consumables – garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc – from Kmart. Or, I’ll just shop around for items to sell on Amazon/eBay/craigslist (I’ll share what I find.) We also recently purchased shelving units for about $45 and are looking for a few more, I need an iPad mini for my drone, and we’re hoping to pick up an end-of-season clearance set of patio furniture. I guess that’s the great thing about Sears and Kmart – we’re always finding something the house needs.

I don’t need this stuff!

These items appear to be popular on eBay and Amazon. You can likely sell them for ~$200, plus Sears is going to give you more store credit back than you spent in the first place. You could also donate the whole kit and write it off. At the very least, it’s an easy $500 on your credit card and the cash back can be used on almost anything at Sears/Kmart.

Good luck!
